The Loren Dunton Memorial Award was established by the IARFC in 2000 and is awarded to the person who has made substantial contribution to the financial services profession and who embodies Loren’s mission to “help persons wisely save, spend, invest, insure and plan for the future.” Generally regarded as the “Father of Financial Planning”, Loren Dunton organized financial professionals in the late sixties and with their help created the financial planning movement including the formation of associations, magazines, colleges, university programs and foundations.
