The International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC®) Founder’s Award is given in the spirit of the IARFC Founder John J. Gargan to those who have been a past or present Trustee, Chapter Board Director or Committee Member, held a professional designation/credential awarded by the IARFC, possess a clean regulatory record, and have been a member in good standing for a minimum of 5 years. They must have achieved a high ethical and professional standard and most importantly, helped expand the visibility of the Association.
For 2023, Barry L. Dayley, MRFC® is honored with this commendation. “It’s important to recognize individuals who have contributed their time and effort in leadership roles for the IARFC, commented Michael Markey Jr., MRFC® – IARFC Trustee Vice Chair. I can’t think of a better person to honor with the Founder’s Award than our Trustee Chair, Barry Dayley. In the past he has been on the MRFC Board, supported the IARFC National Financial Plan Competition and is now the Trustee Chair. As a creative thinker and goal setter, he brings to the Association a forward-thinking dynamic that will change the way the IARFC is perceived in the financial services industry. Being on the Board, I look forward to supporting his future vision.”
Dayley with a long successful career in the Financial Services Profession, recently retired from Money Concepts International as Executive Vice President while maintaining a group of personal clients. Continuing his relationship with Money Concepts, he owns the Great West Network and operates as a Network Director where they serve advisors mostly from the western United States. This experience is invaluable as he moves into a challenging role as the IARFC Trustee Chair. With a passion for service, he looks to a bright future not just with members in the US, but Internationally as well.
“Really believing in the Mission of the IARFC makes it easy for me to get involved,” explained Daley. “I am excited for our future – working with dedicated people at Headquarters and on the Chapters Boards, both in the US and Internationally. With the longevity of the IARFC and goals of serving both members and their clients, I want others to appreciate the value of being a member. That is my primary intention as we move through the next couple of months.”
This Founder’s Award was recently presented to Dayley by US Chapter Board President, Bradley K. Maples Sr., MRFC®. “I am particularly pleased to present this award to Barry who has diligently filled leadership positions as an Association and MRFC Board Director,” noted Maples. “Currently, as Trustee Chair, he is revitalizing the IARFC with a robust plan of advancement. My interactions so far with Barry have been exciting as he has already posed insightful and forward-thinking suggestions. Speaking as a representative of the US Chapter, I am looking forward to working with him.For all the IARFC awards and more detailed information about the Association, visit www.iarfc.org/events/awards.
