The International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC®) is issuing a call for nominations for their US Chapter Board of Directors. Two current members will have fulfilled their two term limits, one member is up for re-election, and there is a Director vacancy to be filled.
Starting October 1, suggestions can be sent by any IARFC member (via email) to the Nominating Committee Staff Liaison from those who wish to serve personally or endorse a candidate for consideration. These nominations are welcomed from the Association membership. Information needed are:
- Resume or CV
- Intent to serve confirmation
- Optional statement on how they would promote the mission of the Association
On October 31, nominations from membership are closed, candidate information compiled, backgrounds checked, and information sent to the IARFC Nominating Committee for review.
On December 1, an election is conducted by the US Chapter Board of Directors with the results being announced by December 15. During January and February, current and newly elected Directors make their travel plans to attend the Annual US Chapter Board Meeting – April 21-24, 2020 in Cincinnati, OH.
Ending his second term and thus leaving will be Peter J. D’Arruda, MRFC® who has been the President for most of his time on the Board. “I have seen outstanding changes in the Association in the past couple of years,” commented D’Arruda. “I will miss my Board Director colleagues and hope the progress we have made will continue on with the agendas of membership growth and consumer awareness of our elite group of consultants.”
Current duties of the US Chapter Board of Directors include attending the annual in-person meeting and 3 electronic quarterly meetings. Members will be asked to serve on a committee to meet the organizational needs of the Association.
“I encourage anyone who feels they can make a difference and bring constructive ideas to the table to consider running for the Board position,” continued D’Arruda. “It has been my privilege to serve”.
