This year we are pleased to award our Chairman and CEO H. Stephen Bailey, MRFC, the Founder’s Award at their 2019 Annual Conference in Nashville, TN on March 20-22 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Conference Center.
The IARFC Founder’s Award is given in honor of the IARFC Founder John J. Gargan. Those considered as recipients of this prestigious award must be a past or present Board Director, Officer or committee member, hold a professional designation awarded by the IARFC, possess a clean regulatory record, and be a member in good standing for a minimum of 5 years. They must have achieved a high ethical and professional standard and most importantly, helped expand the visibility of the Association.
Steve Bailey has maintained a successful career as a financial consultant for over forty years serving his clients faithfully with a fiduciary promise to suggest the same strategies and products that he would select for himself. He has been part of the IARFC for many years as a member, Board Director, Loren Dunton Memorial Award winner, and recently became a Master Registered Financial Consultant (MRFC) under the accreditation process with the NCCA.
When he assumed the Chairmanship, Steve made a commitment to the Association he values dearly and put in place policies and procedures that project the Association forward in the areas of membership and benefits.
As Chairman Bailey states, “The Founder’s award is a gratifying acknowledgement for me. Along with the team in Middletown, I have been obsessed with building a solid foundation for the IARFC and look forward to instigating a major growth plan for the near future. I thank those responsible for presenting me this honor.”
A few of the highlights for his time as Chairman have been to complete the MRFC Accreditation, resurge the Annual Conferences for CE opportunities, reorganize the Association’s Governance Structure, purchase and relocate the IARFC headquarters to its own building, and shape the home office team into a cohesive group that operates with minimal guidance. “It’s a fantastic team of individuals to work with,” continues Bailey.
“I am pleased the votes were there to give Steve the Founder’s award,” related IARFC COO Charlotte Isbell. “In my time with the Association, we have achieved many goals under his leadership. It’s gratifying to see the changes that have transpired. I look forward to 2019 and supporting his vision for the IARFC.”
The Founder’s award will be presented to H. Stephen Bailey, MRFC during the Awards Banquet on Thursday, March 21. Those who wish to attend the conference can register now and experience the complete roster of presenters, topics and exhibitors.
